CIPA Risk Scanner Terms of Service
Last updated: 2026
About the Service
CIPA Risk Scanner provides educational technical visibility into website tracking risk indicators. The service includes a free website scan and optional paid offerings such as the Website Tracking Risk Snapshot. All outputs are designed to help business owners understand what may be present on their websites and what to review with a qualified developer or professional.
Free Scan Limitations
The free scan reviews publicly visible page signals, such as visible scripts, tag managers, pixels, chat widgets, heatmaps, session replay indicators, and consent banner indicators. It does not execute JavaScript on your website in this MVP version, does not crawl your entire website, and does not verify whether a visitor clicked Accept or Reject. Results are technical indicators, not a complete inventory of every script or tracker that may be present.
$97 Website Tracking Risk Snapshot
The Website Tracking Risk Snapshot is a one-time digital technical report delivered through a private Snapshot Dashboard. It includes a plain-English risk summary, tracker inventory, consent indicator review, priority fix list, technical evidence notes, and a Print / Save PDF option. The Snapshot is an educational report — it is not legal advice and does not determine compliance.
No Legal Advice
CIPA Risk Scanner is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice. Nothing on this website, in the scan results, or in the Snapshot should be interpreted as a legal conclusion, compliance determination, or recommendation about your legal obligations. For legal questions, consult a qualified attorney.
No Compliance Guarantee
CIPA Risk Scanner does not guarantee that your website meets any legal, regulatory, or industry standard. The scanner and Snapshot provide technical visibility and risk indicators only. Review recommended items with your developer or qualified professional before making changes.
Digital Report Delivery
The Snapshot is delivered digitally via a private dashboard link. You are responsible for saving or printing your report if you want a permanent copy. CIPA Risk Scanner does not guarantee indefinite availability of the dashboard link, so we recommend downloading the PDF shortly after delivery.
User Responsibility
You are responsible for reviewing scan results and Snapshot findings with your developer or a qualified professional before making changes to your website. CIPA Risk Scanner identifies risk indicators and technical visibility items — implementation and remediation are your responsibility.
Detection Limitations
CIPA Risk Scanner does not guarantee that every script, tracker, pixel, or third-party tool will be detected. Some tools may be loaded dynamically, behind authentication, or in ways that are not visible through a server-side scan. The absence of a detected tool does not mean it is not present.
